Services

Our practice focuses on residence-status and visa procedures. For enquiries on other administrative procedures or applications, please feel free to contact us. We are glad to hear about that too.

Residence status & visa applications

We cover the full span of immigration procedures — Certificate of Eligibility applications, renewal of period of stay, changes of residence status, permanent residence, and naturalisation. As an administrative scrivener (行政書士), we provide our clients with comprehensive support for their application.

How we charge

Please refer to the table below for our charges (tax included). The actual quotation may vary depending on the content of the engagement.  A formal quotation will be provided after consultation and formal engagement has been signed.

*Revenue stamps (印紙代) and any costs arising from carrying out the work set out in the engagement (including but not limited to travel and accommodation for matters outside the local area, postage for documents) will be billed separately.

Which plan suits you

We offer two plans from which you can choose, according to the extent to which you would like to handle the procedure.

Plan A — Documents only

  • We prepare the complete set of application documents, plus a checklist for submission.
  • Application submission and any follow-up actions or extra correspondence requested by Immigration will be handled by you.
  • We recommend this plan if you are comfortable dealing with Immigration, your employer, your school or a government office yourself, and gathering the documents from them.

Plan B — Full support

  • We prepare the documents, and we do the communication — your employer, your school, a government office, whoever else holds paperwork you need.
  • Once the application has been submitted, we keep track of where it has got to, and stay in contact with Immigration until the result comes.
  • If further documents or procedures are required after the result arrives, we explain what they are and support you through them.
  • We recommend this plan if you are not familiar with handling Japanese-language correspondence and dealings with government offices yourself, or if you would prefer to leave the whole procedure to a professional.

Remarks

  1. Out-of-pocket costs — including but not limited to revenue stamps, postage, obtaining certificates and translation costs (Plan A only) — are billed separately.
  2. You must attend the Legal Affairs Bureau in person for a naturalisation application, so we cannot file on your behalf. For naturalisation, we provide support to document preparation, accompanying you to the preliminary consultation at the Legal Affairs Bureau, and preparation for the interview (Plan B only).
  3. Procedures that fall under the Business Manager status (在留資格「経営・管理」) are quoted individually.
  4. Follow-up actions after an unsuccessful result will be quoted separately according to the actual situation.
